Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to energy saving light sources and in particular to light sources based on light emitting diodes, LED, or organic light emitting diodes, OLED, as light emitting units. In particular, the present application relates to the assembly of these light emitting units (108) on an improved carrier. According to the present invention, a carrier (102) for at least one light emitting unit comprises a mounting frame with at least one light emitting mounting area, heat dissipating means for dissipating heat generated by said light emitting units and electrically conductive means, whereas the mounting frame as such forms said heat dissipating means and said electrically conductive means.
