Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for testing the authenticity of a document (100) comprising the following steps: Recording a first image of the document with first image recording parameters, recognizing a piece of information in the first image, wherein the information contains the document type or wherein a document type of the document can be derived from the information, executing a database query using the information for the purposes of querying second image recording parameters, recording a second image of the document using the second image recording parameters, wherein the second image recording parameters comprise type-specific parameters relating to the illumination of the document and/or relating to the exposure of an optical sensor for recording the second image, testing one or more security features of the documents using the second image.
