Zusammenfassung:A steering apparatus (1) comprising a stationary bracket (37) fixed to a vehicle body (39) including a pair of first side plates (44, 45); a receiving portion (80) provided on the steering column (26) for receiving one end of a conductive member (51); a pair of second side plates (54, 55); a conductive cylindrical shaft (65) secured between the pair of first side plates (44, 45) and inserted through the pair of the second side plates (54, 55); and a plate-shaped conductive member (51) interposed between the receiving portion (80) and an outer peripheral surface (71) of the cylindrical shaft (65). The conductive member (51) includes a first bow spring (83) and a U shaped second bow spring (88) that fit the cylindrical shaft (65) resiliently. As the first bow spring (83) is interposed between the second bow spring (88) and the receiving portion (80), a first contact portion (88) of the second bow spring (88) is pressed to the outer peripheral surface (71) of the cylindrical shaft (65), and a second contact portion (82) of the first bow spring (83) is pressed to the receiving portion (80). Thus, the electrical conduction can be maintained between the steering column and the car chassis.
