METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SECURITY AND/OR VALUABLE PRODUCT WITH A RANDOM PATTERN AND A CORRELATED IDENTIFICATION CHARACTER SEQUENCE

The invention relates to a method for producing a security and/or valuable product comprising the following method steps: a substrate is coated with a marking layer containing at least two different particulate luminescent substances that emit light under different conditions of the excitation of luminescence, wherein the particles of the luminescent substances are statistically distributed laterally, the marking layer is subjected to excitation conditions under which both luminescent substances luminesce, wherein the emitted light forms a random pattern specific to the security and/or valuable product, or the marking layer is subjected to excitation conditions under which only one of the luminescent substances luminesces, wherein the emitted light forms a partial random pattern specific to the security and/or valuable product, the pattern is detected metrologically and a character sequence is assigned to the pattern, and the assigned character sequence is applied on the security and/or valuable product in readable fashion as an identification character sequence. The invention furthermore relates to a security and/or valuable product obtainable in this way, and to a method for verifying such a security and/or valuable product.
