Zusammenfassung:	A reading device, such as a reading lamp or reading spotlight, is provided for use in a vehicle, such as a motor vehicle with immovable properties or ships. The reading device for example can be used in passenger cabins and/or cockpits of aircraft. The reading device includes, but is not limited to an LED light source with a color temperature that can be adjusted with the color "warm-white" to "cold-white", a primary optics or lens advantageously designed as a converging lens, and a secondary optics or lens to focus the light emitted by the light source onto a surface, such as a reading plane to be illuminated.
