Zusammenfassung:In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus places an indication of a wireless communication system cell measurement in a measurement report message, where the indication comprises a corresponding frequency index, and a first part and a second part of an m-bit value representing a physical layer cell identification in a first and a second field, respectively, and a k-bit value representing a measurement result in the second field corresponding to the index. The apparatus then sends the measurement report message to a network interface.
