Zusammenfassung:	The tool (1) has a rotary-driven tool spindle (29) to mount the tool arranged on a x-slide (27) and moved by utilizing a y-drive motor (31) in a vertical y-direction on the x-slide, where side walls (4, 5) include a basic body (6) and a front overhanging projection (8). Free spaces (36) lying along the y-direction are formed underneath the projections, and a free space (37) lying between the free spaces formed underneath the projections form a processing space. A workpiece positioning unit (39) for a workpiece (2) i.e. flange-like workpiece, to be processed is positioned in the space.
