Zusammenfassung:	The device has identical detectors (1-3) i.e. infrared detectors, arranged adjacent to each other and provided with identical signal processing and a symmetric layout. The signal processing is carried out by an amplifier (4) and/or analog to digital (A/D) converter (5). A signal detection device performs simultaneous and synchronous signal detection of the detectors so that accurate analysis of received radiation by simple algorithms is enabled independent of disturbing factors e.g. ambient temperature, electromagnetic radiation and angular field. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for detecting flame (2) a method for suppressing disturbing factors during detection of flame.
