Zusammenfassung:	In a mounting device (1) for a recessed ceiling light and/or surface-mounted ceiling light (100) having a recessed frame (2), which is intended to be inserted in the opening (111) of a ceiling (110) and has means (6, 7) for retaining the light (100), and at least one clamping element (10), which has a support arm (20), which can be pivoted, the support arm (20) is located at least partially on the ceiling (110) in a mounted position, whereby the recessed frame (2) is fixed in the ceiling (110). The support arm (20) can be put into at least two different vertical positions with respect to the recessed frame (2) in the mounted position.
