Zusammenfassung:A wear cap (40) for attachment to a driven roll (9) includes a forward facing wear surface (81), a rearward facing cavity (78) and a longitudinal axis. The cavity is adapted to receive a seat (44) for mounting the wear cap to the roll. The cavity includes a front face (84) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and at least one stabilizing surface extending rearward from the front face to engage at least one complementary surface on the seat. Each stabilizing surface extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and one of a pair of rails (68) or a pair of grooves (66) extends rearward from the front face to be received by the other of rails (68) or grooves (66) in the seat.
