Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a device and a method for adiabatically measuring the increase in temperature experienced by materials with active heat-dissipation mechanisms upon being subjected to an alternating magnetic field. The specific absorption rate (SAR, W/g) is determined on the basis of the field application time and magnitude and the heat capacity and mass of the material. The device includes: a system of containers and a vacuum device which can be used to maintain the environment of the sample under vacuum conditions, a screen which minimises radiation and conduction losses between the sample and the environment thereof, temperature sensors and the measurement and control electronics thereof, a field element for generating the magnetic field and the necessary electronics for exciting said field element, and the software for obtaining measurements and controlling the entire system. |
