Zusammenfassung:A vehicle control device includes a control unit controlling an in-vehicle device and a status information acquisition unit acquiring status information of a vehicle and output the acquired status information to the control unit. In the vehicle control device, the control unit specifies a failure-cause-verification information to be used for verifying a cause of a failure from among the status information acquired by the status information acquisition unit, the failure-cause-verification information being specified by using a timing when a predetermined fail-safe control is started as a reference, the timing being determined based on the status information acquired by the status information acquisition unit, and the control unit stores the specified failure-cause-verification information in a predetermined storage medium.
