Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a medicament for treatment of a patient having a tumor wherein Hedgehog/Smoothened signaling is utilized for prevention of apoptosis of tumor cells, comprising cyclopamine or another molecule that selectively inhibits Hedgehog/Smoothened signaling, wherein cyclopamine or said another molecule is in an amount adequate for a dosing that induces apoptosis of the tumor cells in the patient and causes decrease of size or disappearance of the tumor.
