INSTALLATION FOR TREATING CHIP CARDS

The invention relates to an installation for treating two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional elements (1), especially cards, preferably for programming chip cards. Said installation comprises a treatment device (2) with a plurality of treatment stations (cells) (3) which are preferably equipped with programming heads. A supply unit (4) conveys the elements (1) to be treated to the treatment device (2), the elements (1) to be treated are handed over to the treatment stations (3), the treated elements (1) are removed from the treatment stations (3) and are conveyed along by an evacuation device (5). The treatment device (2) is preferably designed to have treatment stations or cells (3) that lie in one plane. The invention is characterized in that a transfer device (6) is adapted to take over the elements (1) from the supply unit (4), for loading the elements (1) onto the treatment stations (3), for removing the treated elements (1) from the treatment stations (3) and for handing over the treated elements (1) to the evacuation device (5).
