Zusammenfassung:	The device (1) has multi-mode-microwave furnace (7) for heating mineral wool (M) and slagging fibers of the mineral wool. A cutting device (4) coarsely crushes the mineral wool in a single stage or multi stages. Detectors (2, 12) and/or selectors (3, 13) extract iron and non-iron metals from the mineral wool. The furnace includes a denitrification unit for denitrifying and/or reburning exhaust gases. A mixing device (5) mixes the mineral wool with susceptor (S). A press (6) presses the mixture of the wool and the susceptor. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing a structure of mineral wool.
