Content sharing

The invention relates to a method of controlling downloading of content by a downloading peer. It comprises the steps of: receiving information about conditions, such as congestion, in an area served by a wireless cell or access point which provides wireless connectivity to users located therein including a particular uploading peer which is a candidate peer from which the downloading peer can potentially download at least part of a content file; determining whether downloading from the particular uploading peer is desirable in view of the received information; and sending to the downloading peer a peer list which indicates whether it can choose to download the at least part of the content file from the particular uploading peer or from another peer or other peers according to the received information.
