Thus, a refrigerator (10) having a cooling system in which a pair of evaporators (21,23) are serially connected for a pair of storage rooms (33,35) is provided according to the above embodiments. A refrigerator (10) may also have a cooling system in which a plurality of evaporators is connected in parallel and refrigerant is selectively supplied to each evaporator by a refrigerant supply valve.
