Crosslinkable composition comprises a polymer matrix, which comprises one or more polyolefins and terpolymer of polyvinyl acetal (PVA) as reducing agent for the formation of water treeing, where the amount of PVA is greater than 10 wt.% in the composition. An independent claim is included for an electrical cable (1) comprising an electrical conductor (2) surrounded by a semiconductor first layer (3), an electrically insulated second layer (4) and a semiconductor third layer (5), where the first, second and third layers are crosslinked, and the second layer is obtained from the composition. La présente invention concerne un câble électrique (1) caractérisé en ce qu 'il comporte un conducteur électrique (2) entouré par une couche (4) électriquement isolante réticulée obtenue à partir d'une composition réticulable comprenant une matrice polymère, la matrice polymère comprenant une ou plusieurs polyoléfines et un polyvinyle acétal (PVA) comme agent réduisant la formation d'arborescences d'eau, la quantité de PVA étant d'au plus 10 % en poids dans la composition.
