Zusammenfassung:A method of delivering oxygen to a tissue, a blood vessel, an organ, or a region of an organ, under an ischemic condition, or prophylactically preventing occurrence of an ischemic condition, of a subject, comprising the step of administering to the subject an oxygenated hemoglobin solution, wherein the oxygenated hemoglobin solution includes polymerized hemoglobin, and wherein about 80% by weight, or greater, of the polymerized hemoglobin is oxyhemoglobin.
