Zusammenfassung:	A variable capacitance circuit comprises a first capacitance (C1a) coupled between a first terminal (A) and a reference potential terminal (10), a second capacitance (C1b) coupled between a second terminal (B) and the reference potential terminal (10), and.a switchable connection between the first terminal (A) and the second terminal (B), such that in a first mode of operation the value of the first capacitance (C1a) is provided at the first terminal (A) and that in a second mode of operation a sum of the values of the first and the second capacitances (C1a, C1b) is provided at the first terminal (A). Further a method for providing a variable capacitance is presented.
