Zusammenfassung:	A sampling apparatus and method for sampling is provided that achieves automatic, aseptic, extractive sampling of fluid samples from fluid sources containing high solids and/or high viscosity fluid without failing due to adverse interactions between the fluid and the sampling device such as clogging or fouling due to mechanical means or to physicochemical reactions between the fluid and the materials of construction of the sample device.
