Zusammenfassung:	A system for auxiliary viewing of the surroundings of a vehicle is described, for shooting and simultaneously presenting to the driver scenes in a plurality of areas of observation (F lateral ) around a vehicle, comprising a shooting arrangement (10) which includes a plurality of image sensing devices (40', 40") and an image processing unit (60) arranged for the acquisition of the image signals (I 1 , I 2 ) emitted by each sensing device (40', 40") and the generation of a composite image (I) for presentation to the driver. The processing unit (60) is arranged for selectively acquiring predetermined portions of images (I', I") defined by image signals generated from selected areas of each sensing device (40', 40"), and for combining the acquired image portions (I',I") in juxtaposed positions such as to form an overall image frame (F) in order to generate said composite image (I).
