Method and location device for locating at least one user in a mobile wireless network

The method involves providing a table, which is structured according geographical units (BIN1-BIN6) of predetermined geographical regions, where each geographical unit has an array of transmitting stations (PSC19, PSC20, PSC361, PSC280, PSC385, PSC386). The transmitting stations are classified in a measuring region according to a value, which is correlated with a receiving strength of signals from each station. Classification results are compared. A location of a subscriber is associated to the units when the results correlate with a preset criteria. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a positioning device for positioning a mobile subscriber in a mobile communications network (2) a computer program product with a set of instructions for performing a method for positioning the mobile subscriber in the mobile communications network.
