Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a film suitable for vacuum skin packaging applications and to an easy-to-open vacuum skin package obtained using said film, suitable for the presentation and preservation of a food product and for use in cooking, re-heating and/or thawing of the packaged food product in a microwave oven. By using the inventive multilayer film as one of the webs in a VSP package it is possible to use as the second web materials with both ionomer- and polyethylene-based sealing surfaces, without loosing the easy-to-open and self-venting capability of the VSP package thus obtained.
