Zusammenfassung:	A miter saw (50) is provided. The miter saw (50) includes a table (56) for supporting a workpiece; a fence (55) located on the table (56); and a beveling arm for supporting a saw blade (128), the fence (55) operatively connected to the arm to move the fence (55) when the blade (128) is beveled so that the blade (128) does not contact the fence (55) when the blade (128) is moved toward the table (56). A method of locating a workpiece near a saw blade (128) is provided. The method may include moving an adjustable section of fence (55) near a path the saw blade (128) will travel by beveling the saw blade (128); and moving a workpiece to contact the fence (55) near the saw blade path.
