METHOD FOR ACQUIRING AND TRANSMITTING USER LOCATION INFORMATION AND NETWORK DEVICE THEREOF

A method for obtaining and transmitting user location information and a network device are disclosed. The method for obtaining user location information includes: an S-CSCF receives a message sent by an HSS, where the message carries a user access network type and user location information and may be a CxDx interface protocol message; and the S-CSCF obtains the user access network type and the user location information from the received message such as CxDx interface protocol message. The method is applicable in many aspects, for example, in the call service of the user, the S-CSCF completes the short number dialed by the user and then continues the call; for another example, the method is applicable to charging for the call service of the user who is roaming. The S-CSCF under the present invention can obtain accurate and trustable user location information, and therefore, the call service and the message service are performed smoothly, and the charging for the call service is accurate.
