The incident waves entered into the »/4 choke portions (112, 114) from openings (113, 115) are reflected at walls of the »/4 choke portions (112, 114) after running the choke lengths (120, 122) of the »/4 choke portions (112, 114). The reflected waves are out of phase with the incident waves by »/2 so that the reflected waves and the incident waves attenuate each other, thereby preventing the electromagnetic waves from leaking out of the wave guide (100a) along the medium (50).
