Zusammenfassung:	The method involves generating an unmodulated continuous wave signal with a predetermined frequency in a transmitter and receiver module (12). The transponder devices (14,16,18) are searched with the unmodulated continuous wave signal as an interrogation signal. A radio response signal is transmitted from the transponder devices to the transmitter and receiver module in response to the interrogation signal. A frequency modulated continuous wave signal is generated in the transmitter and receiver module. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a continuous wave radar system, which comprises a phase shift unit arranged in the transmitter and receiver module or transponder device; and (2) a mobile operation and viewing device for automation components of a technical plant in a human machine interface system.
