Zusammenfassung:	The device has a rotatably propelled reel at which a rinsing hose is partially wound, and a detection device for detecting or determining winding diameter of the rinsing hose. Speed of the rinsing hose is controllable based on the winding diameter. A controller includes a storage for storing a parameter e.g. core diameter and width of the reel, for evaluating the speed of the rinsing hose. A guiding device is provided at the reel for placing the rinsing hose on the reel. An arresting unit automatically arrests the reel when the rinsing hose is completely wound by the reel. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a sewer cleaning vehicle.
