On the run of the web (W) between the unwinding station (11) and the slitting section (12) of the slitter-winder is located an edge-trim slitting device (10). The edge-trim slitting device (10) is located close to the unwinding station (11) so that slit edge trims (T) can be guided into the pulper (14) of the unwinding station (11).
