Zusammenfassung:[Object] An object is to provide a solar cell element exhibiting a reduced warp, a low resistance loss and a high adhesion between the silicon substrate and the electrode, and a method for manufacturing the same. [Solving Means] The solar cell element includes a silicon substrate 1, and a first electrode 5a formed of aluminum and a metal containing zinc on the silicon substrate 1. The solar cell element is produced by a method including the step of preparing a silicon substrate and an electroconductive paste containing an aluminum powder and a powder containing zinc, the step of applying the electroconductive paste onto the silicon substrate, the step of heating the electroconductive paste applied onto the silicon substrate at a temperature higher than the melting point of the powder containing zinc to melt the electroconductive paste, and the step of cooling the molten electroconductive paste to form an electrode.
