Zusammenfassung: | This invention is related to non ferrous hydrometallurgy and in particular, with the thickening of the aqueous pulps of lateritic minerals through the pressure acid technology. To increase the % solids and productivity in the thickeners of the plants in operation, a new procedure has been developed. The essence of the invention is the addition of metal salts (0.1 and 10.0kg/t of mineral) in acid media (0.1-10.0kg/t) to the raw feeding pulps, which in the adequate quantities, produces an increase in solid concentrations from 1-5%, as well as a diminish of viscosity in more than a 40% of the thickened pulps, with an increase in productivity between 20 and 80% according to the kind of mineral, keeping a high % solids. The metal salts are iron and aluminium, in presence of acid. |
