Zusammenfassung:The method involves supplying sheets (8) in a stack (9) for separating the sheets from the stack and for conveying the sheets to a feeder printing mechanism (7). Individual drives (19, 28, 31) are operated in synchronization with one another during printing by a sheet-fed printing press, where the synchronization between the drives is eliminated when a sheet feeder (1) is shut down. The drives are shut down individually and synchronized in relation to one another in a resuming operation of the sheet feeder such that drives assume a predefinable position when the drives are shut down.
