Zusammenfassung:The power supply system useful in a motor support system, comprises a device (1) for photochemical conversion of water in its components of hydrogen and oxygen, and a fuel cell system (3). The device for photochemical conversion of water serves for dissolution of water in a semiconductor photocatalyst such as titanium oxide under solar radiation in its components of hydrogen and oxygen. A hydrogen storage (2) is arranged between the photochemical conversion device and the fuel cell system. A pipeline for guiding the water is present in the device for photochemical conversion of water. The power supply system useful in a motor support system, comprises a device (1) for photochemical conversion of water in its components of hydrogen and oxygen, and a fuel cell system (3). The device for photochemical conversion of water serves for dissolution of water in a semiconductor photocatalyst such as titanium oxide under solar radiation in its components of hydrogen and oxygen. A hydrogen storage (2) is arranged between the photochemical conversion device and the fuel cell system. A pipeline for guiding the water emerged through guiding the hydrogen from the hydrogen storage in the fuel cell system is present in the device for photochemical conversion of water. An independent claim is included for a method for operating power supply system. Energieversorgungssystem, bestehend aus einer Vorrichtung zur photochemischen Umwandlung von Wasser in seinen Bestandteilen Wasserstoff und Sauerstoff und einem Brennstoffzellensystem, wobei der Wasserstoff einem Wasserstoffspeicher, angeordnet zwischen der Vorrichtung zur photochemischen Umwandlung von Wasser und dem Brennstoffzellensystem, zugeführt wird.
