ROTABLE ACTUATING DEVICE

The invention relates to a rotable actuating device (10; 310), particularly of a household device, with a rotable actuating element (20; 320) projecting from an assigned display (control panel 12; 312), displaying the set operating mode, and having at least a part of a lighting device (28, 30, 32, 34, 326, 330) illuminating the display. To avoid or reduce known disadvantages of the state of the art and to increase the user friendliness in particular, the invention relates to the lighting device emitting a delimited ray (38; 338) towards one side of the actuating element (20; 320), illuminating a delimited surface area (36, 40; 336, 340) of the display (12; 312) showing the set operating mode for luminescent highlighting. The ray can use an accordingly designed part of the highlighted surface area for reflexion or for exciting the emittance of visible light. The actuating element is preferably tapered to the front and/or designed as a gripping handle.
