Zusammenfassung:	The vehicle (1) has controllers (11) formed to transmit warning signals, which correspond to warning conditions determined during self-diagnosis through a vehicle data bus (10). An indicating device (3) is formed to evaluate warning signals and to optically and/or acoustically indicate corresponding warning notices. The indicating device is formed such that explanation information is accessed and/or retrieved from a memory (18) to the warning notices simultaneously or by manual requirement with an optical output of the warning notices and are displayed and released by the indicating device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for providing warning information to a user in a motor vehicle (2) an indicating and operating device for a better information transfer with warning conditions.
