APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING MILK FROTH

The present invention relates to an apparatus (10, 110, 210) for a beverage preparation machine for providing milk froth and/or additives, comprising a fluid line for steam, wherein at a mouth (26, 126) a milk line (16, 116) and an air line (18, 118) are attached, and further comprising a frothing chamber (28, 128) for frothing the steam-milk-air mixture, the chamber being disposed downstream of the mouth (26, 126). Upstream of the mouth (26, 126) a branching chamber (20, 120, 220) is disposed such that the fluid line forms a feed line (14, 114) to and a first discharge line (22, 122, 222) from the branching chamber (20, 120, 220). At least one second discharge line (24, 124, 224) branches off the branching chamber (20, 120, 220), and the branching chamber (20, 120, 220) comprises means for deflecting a vapor flow entering the branching chamber (20, 120, 220) from one discharge line into the other.
