Ultra-low power consumption current-reused front-end for a RF system
The present invention is related to a front-end for radio frequency systems, which is based on a low power low noise amplifier (LNA) and at least one mixer stage. The LNA includes at least a first circuit branch comprising a first transistor (M1) and a second transistor (M2) connected in cascade con...

Zusammenfassung: | The present invention is related to a front-end for radio frequency systems, which is based on a low power low noise amplifier (LNA) and at least one mixer stage. The LNA includes at least a first circuit branch comprising a first transistor (M1) and a second transistor (M2) connected in cascade configuration to amplify an input signal A LC tank is provided to choke signal transmission from the drain of the first transistor (M1) to the source of the second transistor (M2). The same current which supply the LNA is used also for the mixer transconductance stage to save power consumption. |
