Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a straddle type vehicle, in particular motorcycle, comprising: a vehicle body frame (2); a housing box (10) disposed on the vehicle body frame (2); and a seat (9) capable of opening and closing a storage space (10a) of the housing box (10), wherein a rear end of the seat (9) in longitudinal direction of the straddle type vehicle is supported by the vehicle body frame (2) via a hinge member (50), such that the seat (9) is swingable in up-and-down direction, and a load receiving member (10b) configured to receive a load acting on the seat (9) is disposed in front of the storage space (10a) of the housing box (10) in longitudinal direction of the straddle type vehicle.
