Zusammenfassung: | The drill (1) has a cut part (3) comprising lips (8) and grooves (9) alternatively extending around a rotation axis (4) of the drill. Each lip has a fillet (12) extending radially towards the axis by an incurved chamfer (25) along a main flank surface (21) such that an intersection between the chamfer and one of the grooves is formed by an edge. A radial outer end of the edge axially extends from a cylindrical shank (2) of the drill along the axis, where the shank is a radial internal end of the edge. The incurved chamfer extends from a side of an undercut surface (30) by a chamfer (31). An independent claim is also included for a method for drilling a composite material using a ceramic drill. |
