An electrode supplying unit supplies the electrode and comprises an electrode moving device (60) e.g. motorized roller, moving the electrode towards a distal end of the torch. A guiding and maintaining unit (40) ensures the guiding and fixation of a head of the torch on a body of the torch in a predetermined position.
