In providing a network search platform for mobile devices, the search platform can be adapted to tailor the results of a search to the particular subscriber and their mobile device. By mandating that content be accompanied by associated context specific meta information, and by providing a local user agent that understands the formatting of said meta information, a search engine can assemble a deep-indexed content database. As a result, search results representing content items that are most suitable for the subscriber and his/her device can be presented to minimize the chances of delivering unwanted content.
