Zusammenfassung:A method of selecting Transport Format Resource Combinations (TFRCs) for usage during a transmission time interval (TTI) in a transmission channel is disclosed. The transmission channel is used for downlink communication between a base station (112) and mobile terminals (106, 108). According to an embodiment, the method comprises the steps: - determining a first set of TFRCs (128) from a given TFRC table (126) for a first mobile terminal (106) served by the base station (112), each TFRC of the set of TFRCs specifying the same transport block size (TBS), a specific number of channelisation codes and a specific transmission power for the downlink communication with the first mobile terminal; - selecting for the first mobile terminal a first TFRC from the set of TFRCs such that a product (132) of the left-over number of channelisation codes and the left-over transmission power is maximal, the left-over number of channelisation codes being determined by the difference between the number of channelisation codes available for the first mobile terminal in the TTI and the number of the channelisation codes specified by the first TFRC, the left-over transmission power being determined by the difference between the transmission power available for the downlink communication with the first mobile terminal in the TTI and the transmission power specified by the first TFRC.
