Zusammenfassung:	A coated vehicle component made of a substantially metallic base material and comprising at least one working face (4) arranged to be exerted to relative 5 movement friction wear and comprising a wear resistant coating. The component is especially characterized by a top coating (5) comprising more than 50 % and less than 99 % molybdenum by weight, the balance preferably being at least one element taken from a first group comprising: aluminium; boron; carbon; chromium; cobalt; lanthanium; manganese; nickel; niobium; oxygen; silicon; tantalum; tungsten; yttrium, and normal impurities, including iron when applicable, the top coating being bonded to the base material by a sealing corrosion-proof bond coating (6) comprising at least one element taken from a second group comprising: aluminium; boron; carbon; chromium; cobalt; copper; iron; lanthanium; manganese; mangnesium; molybdenum; nickel; niobium; oxygen; silicon; tantalum; titanium; tungsten; zirconium and yttrium and normal impurities, including iron when applicable
