Zusammenfassung:	A refrigerated appliance (2) includes a cabinet (4) including a drawer (6) and a refrigeration system (21) having at least a compressor (22), a condenser (23) and an evaporator. An icemaker unit (50) is mounted in the drawer (6) and includes a housing (64) and an ice cube mold (69). The evaporator includes a coil (104) mounted below the housing proximate to the ice cube mold (69). A mounting plate (130) is attached to the housing (64) with the evaporator coil sandwiched therebetween. With this arrangement, the evaporator coil (104) is selectively operated to provide freezing temperatures to form ice cubes in the ice cube mold (69) and establish refrigerated temperatures in the refrigerated compartment. That is, the refrigeration system (21) is selectively operated to chill the evaporator in both an ice production mode and a refrigeration mode.
