Zusammenfassung:Production of organopolysiloxanes comprises (1) hydrolyzing chlorosilane with water (0.002-0.6 mols.) and alcohol (0.3-1.6 mols.) each per mole of hydrolyzable chlorine, with the molar ratio water : alcohol being 0.001- 1.5; (2) optionally mixing the reaction mixture with a water-insoluble organic solvent of density below 0.9 kg/l and adding water at 0.2-100 mols. per mol. of the silicon component; and (3) separating off the aqueous solvent phase at completion of the reaction.
