Zusammenfassung:	The device (1) has connecting terminals (3, 4) e.g. elastic straps, electrically connecting the device to an electrical installation i.e. power supply apparatus, and electrodes (5, 6) delimiting an inter-electrode space (7) that forms a spark-gap. A connection unit (10) electrically connects the terminals with the respective electrodes. The electrodes (5, 6), the unit (10) and another connection unit (11) are constituted of respective materials, where the materials are identical and are chosen from copper i.e. brass, and iron i.e. stainless steel. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an electrical installation protecting device.
