Eudermic W/O emulsions

Water-in-oil emulsions (I), comprising (a) at least one (1-4C) alkylcellulose, (b) at least one oil and (c) water, contain surfactants and emulsifiers of molecular weight less than 1000 at less than 0.2 wt. % and water-soluble monohydric alcohols at less than 0.5 wt. %. An independent claim is included for the preparation of (I), by (i) forming an oil phase by preparing a solution of (a) in (b) by stirring at 50-100[deg] C then standing at room temperature for several hours, (ii) forming an aqueous phase by adding salt and/or polymer to water, (iii) heating the aqueous and oil phases to 50-100[deg] C and (iv) adding the aqueous phase in portions to the oil phase. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft emulgatorfreie Wasser-in-Öl-Emulsionen, enthaltend mindestens eine C 1-4 -Alkylcellulose und mindestens ein Öl sowie deren Verwendung in kosmetischen oder pharmazeutischen Zusammensetzungen.
