Zusammenfassung:The floor of a motor vehicle's body has a horizontal section(6) which changes into an extended section(8) which protrudes forwards beyond the closing wall(3) and is connected to the forward floor plate along its forward edge(21), whereby the connecting line extends at a distance away from the closing wall. The forward floor plate has a center tunnel and the extended section has a tunnel element with a curved section. The cross section of the center tunnel coincides with that of the curved section so that the curved section forms a center tunnel extension. An independent claim is included for a platform system for motor vehicles equipped with the proposed floor.
