R : elements comprising La, Ce, Nd and Pr; M : elements comprising Mn, Fe, Al, Co, Cu, Zr and Sn; t : 0.1-0.4; s : 3-4.3; z : less than or equal to 0.5. Independent claims are included for: (1) an anode comprising the composition; and (2) an accumulator containing alkaline electrolyte comprising the anode.
